I'll go ahead and dump some of my archive here... All I have on this computer are language related links unfortunately. I heartily second the recommendation of The Language Construction Kit. I love that website. *swoons* I am quite fond of Rinkworks' Fantasy Name Generator it allows you to specify vowels, consonants, syllables, etc. So you can have a better control of how the words sound or flow. It's good for not only names, but for any kind of word you need. I've used it a few times when I just want something that sounds foreign. (http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen/) This is a favorite of mine. Art21's Alphabet Synthesis Machine It's a program that creates an entire alphabet based upon a series of complex algorithms and a small squiggle you make. It then gives you the ability to download it in TrueType font format so you can use it as the font in your software programs! It is, of course random, but it's a good place to start! (http://www.alphabetsynthesis.com/)The International Phonetic Library is an awesome resource of all the sounds you can think of. It shows their place on the chart and explains all the phonetic symbols. My favorite part, it has audio samples for all of them! This is a good companion for the Language Construction Kit because it helps you hear all the variety of sounds to choose from. (http://web.uvic.ca/ling/resources/ipa/charts/IPAlab/IPAlab.htm)
